The book is divided into three volumes and covers various topics viz: the basics, materials, ancillary materials, package printing, testing and quality control and packaging of some specific products.

The SIES School of Packaging holds the secretariat of the Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India (IPMMI) and as part of its activities publish the IPMMI newsletter a quarterly, circulated among packaging material conversion industries, package user industries and packaging machinery manufacturers besides other connected industries. The newsletter highlights -developments globally, industry specifics, news of interest, events and members' participation, besides technical articles.
